Abstract

Biogas production is not new to the earth, as an Englishman Donald Cameron had earlier constructed a special septic tank which was used for biogas collection and since then till now other works has emerged. However, this work offers a new and broader idea on biogas production through the process of inoculation whereby an inoculant a biological catalyst in slurry form was used to facilitate and stimulate the formation of the biogas. This was confirmed during this analysis as the time number of days taken for the production was shortened and yield increased. The result obtained from this work shows that temperature, type of substrate, nature of substrate, micro-organism etc. are key factors to the volume of biogas produced and the results been in consistency and agreement with previous works. This work presents several advantages: wastes are recycled which offers the best medium for waste treatment, biogas produced which is a renewable source of energy for heating and electricity and the by-product digestate obtained which has been tested for Nitrogen, Phosphorus and Potassium as an excellent bio-fertilizer used for agricultural cultivation. Hence, this work has great contributions to renewable energy resource, increased agricultural production as well as in environmental waste remediation.

Abstract

A Drone is a flying air vehicle also known as unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) that does not carry human operator, use aerodynamic force to provide vehicle lift can fly autonomously or be piloted remotely, can be expandable or recoverable, and can carry a lethal or nonlethal payload. The user can operate the drone through Bluetooth RC Controller android software. Arduino Nano is the controller is used in this work to control the operation of UAV. Bluetooth module HC-05 is used to interface the control signal given by user and the controller. The main purpose of this work is to build a vertically mounted single copter with a maximum payload economically and low space occupying in the air.Conventional copters endure of many disadvantages such as weight, cost and restriction in aerodynamic structure and displacement in Centre of gravity.

Abstract

This paper represents theLabVIEW based simulation design of Proportional-Integral-Derivative (PID) for Temperature control. It project aims at designing and implements a PID controller for temperature process. Temperature control of a liquid in a heating tank is achieved by a PID controller through switching a heater on and off.The PID controller gives response outputs which have minimum steady state error so this used in this process. The process block diagram formulated using LabVIEW icons, indicators and controls. This LabVIEW program saves the user time to identify and understand the operations of the process very easily by viewing the process flow.

Abstract

In this papera smart working helmet using bluetoothstereo transmitter has been designed and tested. This has been developed with an idea of using some of the comfortable aspects to the customer in lieu with instrumentation technologies. In this model there are three major parameters are included which will be a major imperative ideas to be installed. Helmet which is accompanied with technologies on FUEL, SPEED, TEMPERATURE indicating systems, in which every customers need to be aware of his or her own vehicles. On future based vehicles, these implantation play a vital role for the next generation society knowing that these technologies will help them to look after their own safety to both the vehicle and to them.

Abstract

Our main aim using this project is to improve the existing Indian voting system. By implementing the Bio-metric process in the voting system, we can make the polling process more secured and efficient than the existing one. With the help of the present voting system, one can easily poll the vote of the other person even without their knowledge. This may lead to a major democratic problem by ruling of a bad party. So using this Bio-metric system in the voting system, the process of polling will be more secured than the existing system. In this system no one can vote instead of others. Here all voter information was stored to register in this system. The Bio-metric recognition refers to the use of iris, fingerprint, face, palm and speech characteristics, called biometric identifiers. But here we use the fingerprint for the authentication purpose. Every person will be having unique fingerprint. So there will not be any kind of malpractice done while using this system.

Abstract

The main objective of our project is following the three R rules, that is to reduce, recycle and reuse. we can observe today lot of water are wasted in our domestic needs, especially in our rest-room.so by implementing the engineering idea we have designed an automatic flushing system to flush the urinal basin in an effective and efficient manner, where as in our project are conserve water five times than normal urinal basin.

Abstract

OCR is a technology that recognizes text within a digital image which is commonly used to recognize text in scanned documents, but it serves many other purposes as well. This paper presents a simple, efficient and less costly approach to construct OCR to read a book that has fixed font size and style. OCR software processes a digital image by locating and recognizing characters, such as letters, numbers, and symbols. In OCR processing, the scanned-in image is analyzed for light and dark areas in order to identify each alphabetic letter or numeric digit using ROI. The recognition of text from image is done for better understanding of the reader by using OCR. It makes more quickly a textual version of printed documents. Starting from the capturing of images on web camera, the text is recognized using OCR and is converted into file format where the content acquired from the image can be edited. OCR lies in achieving higher recognition rates with optimal or reduced computational complexities. The performance of algorithm in LabVIEW is found to be satisfactory with an accuracy of 90%.

Abstract

In this paper, at present metal alloy and super alloys are used in piston cylinder. It is subjected to high thermal stress on the cylinder. It reduces overall performance. Thus, to overcome this, propose different alternative composites for engine cylinder. Carbon-Carbon Composite (C-C) and Metal Matrix Composites (Al/TiB2) are designed and thermal analyses are carried out by using ANSYS. The analytical result of the proposed design is compared with existing engine cylinders.

Abstract

In this paper, we discuss an intelligent inspection system that uses a robot and some IT technologies in order to acquire certain information such as deformity of a material. It can be used to manage the condition of railway tracks wheel axle, pipelines, buildings or bridges. Uneven surfaces, cracks, abnormal temperature conditions, rust formation, etc. causes deformity in materials and can prove to be hazardous. It is very necessary to detect these deformities in time for safety purposes. There are a variety of sensors available that can be used for detecting such deformities or abnormalities. These sensors can be integrated with a low cost, simple robot based on an embedded design for such purpose.
